Snow Swell #2

Despite New England being primarily spared the worst during the last few weeks of brutal winter weather, the fact that the Mid-Atlantic has been dealing with the worst snow conditions they’ve had in decades has been even better for surfers here in the Caribbean.


North coast spots in PR rarely see this kind of a stiff offshore wind, but that is what has been mostly responsible for the quality of our season so far and this guy seemed to be enjoying it. Photo: Rachel Tanner

Snow Swell #1

It used to be back in the old days that surfers in the Caribbean watched the weather maps on the east coast or at best talked to friends up and down the eastern seaboard for news on strong winter weather that could be potential swell generators for the region.

Holiday Harvest Part III

When 2009 ended with such a flurry of waves surfers around the Caribbean weren’t sure that the first few days of 2010 could deliver similar goods.  Little did they know what awaited them as the New Year dawned.
