As summer comes to a close a Canadian cold front delivers the first solid swell of the ‘09/’10 Caribbean winter surf season right on cue.

Rincon local Roger Moore landed on Oahu just in time for Opening Day at Pipeline, and local photographer and friend of Surf Caribe, Sean Davey, caught Roger in a pressure drop situation on a double up wave on his way to checking the health of the reef there.

In the heavily trodden waters of the Caribbean one of the world's top lensmen and a crew of four adventurous surfers strike out on a mission to a thoroughly unexplored destination and score big.

It may not have been a macking cold front swell, but the Caribbean finally saw its first hint of winter surf early this past week.

Before he’d even been given a name, Tropical Storm Danny served up two days of clean groundswell and perfect conditions to the north coast of Borinquen.
