For lots of surfers here in the Caribbean summer means flatness at home.  Jamiaca has the good fortune to enjoy surf all year long, and summer is one of the most consistent seasons on the region’s most irie isle.

Surf Caribe continues it’s eight-part series of galleries featuring the best images from this past season with a selection of photos from the month of October 2009.

The 2009/2010 winter surf season here in the Caribbean was without doubt one for the record books.

While some places in the Caribbean enjoy more consistent surf year round, here in the Greater Antilles were pretty much write things off come May.

Photos and audio commentary by Art Brewer

Surf Caribe has the distinct privilege and honor to present the following gallery of imagery by legendary surf photographer Art Brewer.

It’s not often legends of surf culture make it to Puerto Rico.  And while photographers come and go through the course of a winter, never has an upper echelon shooter brought his skills to our island with the intention of sharing them with aspiring surf shutterbugs.
